Katherine Rogerson, Allied A.S.I.D., takes a fresh approach to design with a distinct European influence.

“My goal is to make the design process a wonderful experience – fun, open and comfortable. I just love what I do! I love the creative process and all that it entails. Being a watercolorist I enjoy helping my clients visualize their new room(s) with color sketches & renderings. When they are excited and looking forward to appointments, the finished rooms reflect their personalities and are always spontaneous and original. Their excitement is only matched by my own.”

European Influenced Family Room. The Cathedral ceiling with Trusses and Iron Chandelier are Reminiscent of old homes in Europe. Custom Bookcases are made of Alder and distressed for age. French Mantel has been given height for balance. Upholstery fabric used for Draperies also adds drama and warmth.
Dramatic Family Room - The Window Treatments are a Focal Point in this Room and Provide Balance to the Floor-to-Ceiling Stone Fireplace. A large grand painting over the sofa Completes the Look.
Asian Inspired Family Room - the Plate over the Mantel sets the tone for the calm, clean lines of this room. The stone fireplace replaced a boring traditional wood mantel and transformed the entire room.
Transitional Family Room - This room with glass walls on all sides overlooks a swimming pool and beautiful grounds. We used assymetric drapery panels to mirror the different wall heights and faux painting on the ceiling to draw the eye upward.
Formal Parlor Has a Fresco above the Sofa. The warm colors of this room and the comfortable seating invite the owners in for tea and the morning paper.
Comfortable Sitting Room Decorated for the Holidays - The fireplace and the mahogany coffered ceiling add richness and depth while the gorgeous silk window treatments give an elegance to the room.
Formal Living Room with Elegant Two-Story Window Treatment - This tone-on-tone ivory living room is very calming with its formal, yet comfortable and inviting seating area. Drama is provided by the ivory pin-striped fabric treatment embellished with fringe and tassels.
Fun Powder Room off Recreation Room. Walls are faux-painted with swirls of blue, silver and gold. Cobalt blue vessel sink and hand-tiled backsplash provide a nice surprise to the guest.

Dining Room with a Tuscan Influence. Walls are a fabulous burnished rust texture and tray ceiling is 14-kt with a hand-applied stencil inside the tray. Vibrant blue silk draperies trimmed with tassels pop against the walls.
Custom Kitchen with an Enormous Center Island for Working and Entertaining a Large Crowd.
Custom Kitchen is the Center of this Home. The perimeter cabinets are a cream with a brown glaze. The enormous center island cabinets are a warm cherry with a brown glaze.
Formal Traditional Foyer is given Drama with a rich Burgandy paint and a Focal Point with a Beautiful Entry Table.
Home Theater has luxurious tan leather seating and Diamond Patterned Fabric Walls. Dark Velvet Draperies Flank the Theatre Screen on the Left and Right.
Regal Kitchen (before finishing touches) has ll-ft tall cabinetry with ancanthus detail crown moldings, corbels,leaded glass doors. Contrasting with the perimeter cabinets (maple with a brown glaze) is the cherry island. Over the island is a custom copper ceiling.
Home Office with custom teak table incorporating porthole from an old U.S. naval ship.
Naval Officer’s Home Office - decorated in patriotic colors of red, white and blue. The Santa is a gift from his wife.
