Designer Profile
"Your personal concierge for luxurious interiors"
These are some desires our clients have in common with each other, and reasons why you will enjoy our services as well. If you agree with the majority of these statements, you are our ideal client and we would love to hear from you!
* My time is valuable - I have no time to design, re-design, or furnish my home on my own, nor do I have the desire to do it myself.
* I want my home to look professionally designed, elegant, and beautiful in a unique style that emulates who I am.
* I like to have things done for me, done right the first time, and don't like to waste money on costly mistakes.
* I want my investment desires and timeline to be respected, and I like to know the cost/investment amounts up front - I don't like surprises.
* I desire Designer-Quality furnishings with favorable prices.
* I want to maximize the square footage, efficiency, and functionality of my home.
* I want a Designer who's passionate about design and genuinely cares about my happiness and comfort with the design process and overall end result.
* Privacy might be important to me.
* I travel a lot, don't have time to get involved in the design, or have multiple homes and need a designer who can travel or work virtually.
Susan Hopkins Interior Design, LLC is a full service Interior Design company specializing in creating custom designed spaces for people who want outstanding designs, done right the first time, and with budget and timeline respected. I graduated from Drexel University's CIDA Accredited Interior Design program; ranked top ten in the country.
The most frequent question I am asked is, "Designers are supposed to be able to design in varied styles, but how do you describe your style?". My designs have a consistent basic conceptual and fundamental thread which I would describe as, "a welcoming sense of cleanliness with a clever and creative approach to space planning, which results in design applications that are obvious, yet natural, in the atmosphere, materials, products, lighting, and flow of the spaces." Truth be told, I don't like putting pressure on my clients to declare their "style" preference, as I believe that it is my objective for each project to uncover a new definition of style individually for each client. In doing so, I consider personalities, memories, life stories, goals, career paths, family, ideals, dreams, necessities, functionality, lifestyle, etc. to create an atmospheric representation of my clients and their ideal spaces and incorporate the architectural benefits and solve the architectural challenges.

Many of our clients were unsure of what type of investment commitment was associated with the project criteria they were putting forth for discussion before our first phone call. They also weren't sure of on what they should base this decision, and how to know that they were choosing the appropriate ratio of quality vs. investment for them. Maybe this sounds familiar to you? If so, know you aren't alone. We will guide and educate you, as much as desired, through every step of the design process - catering to your comfort levels in making this decision. We start by qualifying the project to understand the general scope of work and grand concept of where your investment range would most likely fall to ensure that we can provide a service that is proportionate to the project - before we meet or provide a proposal.
