John Kelly Highly motivated Interior Designer with thirty years of experience in the residential, commercial, and marine field. Services include all related aspects to interior design that are appropriate to the individual project and budget, both traditional or contemporary.
John will help you with all phases of your project. New construction plan review, coordination with architect and builder, space planning, surface selection, color and fabric coordination, lighting, custom furniture, set up and styling. Services are provided with an emphasis on quality, materials, craftsmanship, detailing and cost savings.
With over 30 years of experience, John Kelly has designed residential interiors, both traditional and contemporary, and commercial interiors which include; professional offices, car dealerships, art gallery, nightclub bar and restaurant, a jewelry store, public spaces for country clubs, and set designs for television.
John's specialty is designing yacht interiors. For 24 years, John has designed prototype interiors for several boat manufacturers on the East Coast and custom interiors for private clientele both power and sail. He completed a three year renovation on his personal classic Chris Craft motor yacht, which was featured on an episode of HGTV Design Basics.
John Kelly Interior Design, Inc. was founded in 1991. His highly motivated firm has been published in several books and trade magazines. John was the recipient of ASID's Designer of Distinction Award in 1996, and the 1999 recipient of ASID's 'Medalist Award', the highest award bestowed on a chapter member. The firm has received 9 Design Excellence Awards, 5 consecutive 'Best of Show' spaces for a local show house, and Window Fashions 'Award of Excellence' in 1997.
Educated at The Art Institute of Philadelphia, where he was the first inductee to the Interior Design Hall of Fame. John is a past president of ASID and serves on the advisory board of a local interior design school. His passionate love of beautiful interiors, and creative abilities, challenge all his clients and makes the design process a true pleasure.
Projects have been completed in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, Colorado, and Michigan
Professional Member of ASID for 28 years. Served as Chapter President in 1995 and Board Member for 10 years.
